Does that make a difference?

I've ordered some 11x5.5 e props to try out plus I have an Omega 72g motor on order to test.

Khen, is the SU you refer to the Telink one or the Techone one?
Did you ever test that omega motor in this plane?

Yes I did test it out.
Using a ACP 11x4.7 it pulled like a beast.
Measured 430W and 39 amps wot on the watt meter.

Flying was strange, felt balanced in hand but flew really nose heavy.

Almost like the SF prop was too small for the motor.
I have some 11x5.5e props to try out at some stage, I've gone back to my smaller motor for this plane that is a 2834-1100kv baby. Swing the same 11x4.7 sf prop no problems.

The Omega has heaps of power but I noticed my 1300Ma Lipo that was giving me 6.5 min previously struggled to give me 5 minutes on the Omega motor and 11x4.7 prop. So I deduced its pulling more amps, definitely making more power but shortening my flying time and did seem to make it nose heavy.

Motors are so confusing to me

The smaller motor is from BestvalueRC, http://www.bestvaluerc.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=332 it whips a 11x4.7sf without too much issue and really hurls the Yak pretty good without being crazy and its light to boot. I get about 6 minutes of 3D flying out of 1300Ma lipos and thats lots of hovering and harriers and some KE and spins etc to mix things up.

The Omega just didn't feel right to me with the SF prop and it sounded funny and chewed up the amps pretty quick as well.

The only two things I'd say is that that motor Schottflyer is very heavy for this plane. If you are trying to get to neutral cg you most likely will need tail weight.

Forget the Corona servos, go straight to MG14's. I use them on all my large foamies and they are great.
For the motor you could try this one:

And the MG14:

Hi Bigroger,
can u say me where the neutral cg is, il not found one in the Build.
I think must fly with it and look where it realy is.
Your Motor looks really better It has more Watt and its 18gr lighter.
Hope the Coronas looks better as the HK Servos there broken at second flyt.
Must learn handle it and hope it flys till next Year, so its my Nick hehe

The cg is about 140mm back from the leading edge of wing. I have tried the Coronas and really found them terrible at finding centre and they would oscillate around neutral.
This plane is quite heavy as is, max out the throws on all surfaces and it 3D's pretty well, harrier, hover and aerobatics etc.

If you get the 1250kg 2834 motor your max prop will be 11x3.8sf, anything bigger will overheat a motor that size in that kV rating.

I'm running a 2834-1100kV on mine with 11x4.7sf and it still gets hot after a few hard packs of flying. I'm only using 1300mA Lipos in mine to keep the weight down and I get around 6-6.5 minutes.

But she flys very well the Motor is going good and she hoover and than goes vertical never Ending

The Servos is not the best ( Bigroger u sayd it thanks ) but theres better than the last HK Plaste.

Il get my Yak back in total off, and my Smile in Face was really great. Ill drink a Cup off Tea and hope the Weather goes better. I WILL FLY YAK55

smoke is my wattmeter
I recently triked my 920kv Park 480 on mine with a 11x3.8sf and was'nt real impressed with the power. It was better than my 950kv 2217 but not by a lot. Plane didn't mind the extra weight to me and still felt neutral to tail heavy. Not a lot of pullout from a hover but some. Wound up bending the 480's motor shaft on an unscheduled landing and managed to bust the motor mount. Time for surgery and hunt for another motor. Probably use my tried and true 3536 1100kv just to overpower this thing for a change. I haven't weighed my plane yet but for some reason it sure seems heavy.

I've got a couple Corona mg servos on this plane and I don't particularly like them due to excessive gear slop. MG14s are much better.

Il cut out the Wooden Motor Mount , and bild it by myself from 4mm Aluminium.
You can get it from DIY Store for Cent, and its strong enough for Headlanding.
Il must make this its my Nickname Schrottflyer

Watch out for too much nose weight in this plane.
It does like to be balanced if not a little tail heavy.

Maybe try some 3-5 layer plywood if you can get it, its easier to fabricate and will be lighter than Al.
Perhaps a light coat in thin CA before install will help.
