I've had the slow motor problem as well and dealt with it the same way most of you have. One issue that keeps popping up on my mini quad is that after a few minutes of flying, the quad develops a serious drift to port. I can immediately fix it by landing, bringing the motors to a stop and then taking off again. I do not disarm the board during this procedure. Does this sound like a hardware issue? anybody else get a similar thing happening?
As far as programmers go, I got the pocket avr from sparkfun, it came with the right kind of cable and has worked flawlessly.

Drift after flying for a few minutes seems to be normal. It seems to be worse if you don't let the board "aclimate" to the temperature outside before flying since the gyros are temp sensitive.

Can you also compile with scalestick 4 for all axes? That is what I added as "acro" to the flashtool.

Thanks Christian

I don't know why it works but if i try a slow start i will then need to disconnect the battery, then re-connect and do the faster start to get rid of the symptoms. ......hope this helps.
I tried the quad today, trying to take off really slow to set the trims,
After i broke the number 4 prop and replaced it, i tried your way ( max trim on pitch fwd , aileron and rudder full left) .
At 1/3 throttle the quad was 3 meters in the air, but im new to quad ( used to nitro planes) i paniced and choped the throtle, and now i need a new frame
Its milan Vs barcelona tonight so the new frame will wait for tomorrow morning

Works fine with www.fischl.de USBasp drivers. Can't guarantee which one they will send you, as when my friend recently ordered it they sent him the one pictured and the old one with the 10 to 6 wired adapter and the old one didn't work.
That's the one i have as well. It does the flash without any probs.

I have had same behavior on 4th motor. My problem is that it takes a lot more than half throttle to get it to spin. I programmed an "idle" switch which by flipping it starts all the motors at 30/100. Motor still not spinning even after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. I can't program it to go more... I am pretty sure it will teleport to the nearest cloud 1600W on a 1.2kg quad is serious power.

Can anyone link me to the 4.5 version for Xcopter? I ve looked everywhere for it but couldn't find it.

My esc's don't plan on working on Mike's Burton FW. I am seriously thinking of throwing the board in the bin and try another. 5 Days I have been reading everything about FW and kkmulticopter board. It's always the same deal. I find the solution that works for everybody but not me

I just heard from another friend that he received the "no worky" type yesterday from GoodLuckBuy.com so I recommend not ordering programmers from them as you can't be sure which they'll send you.

Maybe they are not aware that they don't work. Maybe your friend can post them a link to this thread to enlighten them.

Does anyone have the direct link for the driver for the programmer in this ebay item?

I can't seem to find the driver for it. I thought I'd replace my home made one with one that was built exactly for this

Well, since I allready have one programmer that works, I decided to send the new one to my son, the computer guru and let him have a go at it. He's got a KK board too but didn't have a programmer.

Can one of you more experienced types point me to a programmer that goes well with Lazy Zero's flashtool?
