Best coax for 5.8ghz


What is the best RG coax for 5.8ghz RF ? and the better between RG213,RG316 and RG58 ?

I need 0,6mt between rx and antenna ....

Now Ive RG213...is it OK ?

It is OK, you'll have about 0.6 db of signal loss on 60 cm of RG213. With connectors, total loss will be more like 1 db, which is still OK. In such high frequency applications it is always better to have antenna as close as possible to receiver. I personally use just small pigtail of 10 cm or so, and longer video cable.

i know this is an old thread but i had to say something, these guys cant be talking about rg213 and pigtails surely? RG213 is a whole cm (10mm) thick and about the least flexible coax you can get!

whilst its the badboy of coax and i use it in my home for my two way radios, on a fpv setup its stiffness would be seriously restrictive and also put huge strain on sockets!
