I have an Easy Star with the RVOSD5 connected to FRSky via PPM and no ailerons. So which config is correct to get it to work properly with RTH and FBW?

1. In the PPM menu, re-assign CH 1 (Aileron stick input) to Rudder and connect the RVOSD5's Rudder out to my Rudder servo (leaving the RVOSD Aileron Out disconnected).

2. Or leave the default assignments in the PPM menu, and connect the RVOSD's Aileron Out to my Rudder servo (leaving the RVOSD Rudder Out disconnected).

In other words, which output does RVOSD autopilot use to steer; rudder or aileron? If rudder then I would assume that option 1 is correct. If instead it steers using the ailerons then option 2 should be the right choice. Are there any other RVOSD settings to tweak, since the rudder affects both yaw and roll on the EZ?

Hey there Patrick. I have an EZ also. I leave the ppm outputs the same and disable the rudder(output4). I connect my rudder to ailerions(output1). Works perfect.

Is there a current sensor available with Deans Connectors on it? Or can they be replaced easily?

I put deans on mine, but I world class soldering skills

Its not too hard, but I wouldn't suggest trying it unless your pretty comfortable with your soldering skills. On a 1-10 scale, I would say its a 4.5. You should find some shrink tube to re-cover it.

Same one. Just no pickit device. So 275 shipped vs 269 + shipping on an out of stock item. And you can buy a pickit.

Comes very close in price but for new one I get some kind of warranty ( even that RV has not the best costumer service from what I heard) we are talking about few hundreds here.
Im stuck anyway my Dragon OSD (new) is not working so Im just waiting

Ahhh I see what you are saying. For the same price and not having a warranty would not be any good.

Yep, couple buck more in such a high price doesnt make any difference and at least you know what you getting.
Im surprised that they are out of stock and sadly no hint when (if) they will be back in stock.

I doubt you would have any warranty issues. RV are second to none when it comes to after sales service, if a bit slow with communications. I have been shopping with RV for >4 years and never had a problem with returns.

Well I ordered another Dragon OSD so when RV OSD becomes available I will probably get it.
