Wow, Good picture on your screen for daytime! I would never think you could use it out at the beach like that. I assume that is the one you sell?

damn it! now I have to buy that screen edit: sighh...its on the way with a sunshade. I think I will like it better than goggles, though I have never used them.

You don't want this plane. It flies like a refrigerator. Good thing is that it's durable and lands slow .

Vova, you are right about that plane, the OSD is awesome , I've got my upgrade board already.
My question is are you planning and when, to have in stock Plug and Play replacement 10Hz GPS module? I am a very sloppy solder and I ruined the traces of one module already I will not mind to pay extra $$ for Ready to Plug GPS receiver.

Georgi

I had the first flight with RVOSD5 on flying wing this morning. Good thing it flew and RTH saved the plane after I lost video from GoPro due to empty battery. But I also run into some problems. I was going to write full review on how I installed the OSD and what problems did I encounter, but my expectations did not fulfill so here is mini review:

Not happy:
* Airspeed, compass and home arrow does not work properly (I already made posted on RV forum about this).
* Strong vibrations are detected in debug screen even with foam applied under OSD and correctly balanced prop and motor.
* RTH turns on motor even when the plane is on the ground. How do I range check??

Happy:
* In the end GoPro battery died and I lost video. At least RTH worked and returned the plane to me.
* Good video noise reduction, I can use one battery now.

Probably very boring flight video

Only two questions.

1 - The RTH works on any receiver or do I need a PPM card equal to DragonOSD?

2 - The waipoints navigation is restricted or released in Brazil?

Hi,

Nice flight. Actually, it's very interesting to me.

Yes, it looks like GPS receiver is not working correctly- giving location intermittently. That is why speed and location are not working. It's weird, I have never seen this before.

When Alex wakes up he will debug it. If it requires a new receiver I will send one asap.

serginho_la,

RTH works with any receiver. PPM input or regular. RVOSD also supports dual receivers via two PPM inputs. You can use this as a backup (if one fails then RVOSD switches to the other) , or to do long range flights with two pilots.

Best,
Vova

Best,
V

About the vibration, do you have pictures of the installation?
The vibration does seem to affect your AHI at some points in the video.

We will sell an RVOSD vibration mount in about 30 days. I think the best thing to use now is the helicopter gyro double sided tape to mount the RVOSD5.

Sorry, no pictures available (not home anymore). Anyway I think vibrations are passed by wires which I tied together in one stiff mess. Looking forward to RVOSD vibration mount.

Ground distance and LOS seems to be ok, thus I don't think it is GPS, but rather bug associated with software reset of RVOSD. I can confirm that compass worked before.

That's Russian for flying brick, I'm sure you're familiar with the latter? (no?)
