That's way I see it. I can build whichever. Choose the scheme I like and build the tail accordingly...

And the 6 yr old Hawaiian Cobra build. It was lost at Little Mountain and I rescued it. The memories... still remember how excited I was when I spotted the silver wing because I was looking for my lost plane LOL.

I used that thread as a template for my ME109 build! Printed the whole dang thing out and carried it to the garage! found it the other day while working on my spitfires!

That thread is bookmarked on my browser since 2003, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

On the real plane there were no two parts interchangeable between a P-39 and a P-63. However visually they are nearly identical. So for our purposes the only difference is the shape of the fin. There are 3 basic fins, the round P-39 fin, The squarer P-63 fins or the tall finned P-63F. I have templates for both the tall fin P-63F and the round fin P-63. There was also a V-tail cobra, and every other fin shape you can imagine was tried at one time or another.

I still like the tiger one on the Spit and would try it on the cobra but I just don't think I could pull it off. I may go with an easy one since I'm thinking this build will generally be much easier than the Spit and I'd might as well keep it all easy

Jim
Or maybe a pink one?

Wow. I just took another peek at the first post. Two days and it's already more than I thought there would be in a week.

Time to update the second post with scare tactics

Hmm, interesting. I also was thinking of some sort of non-conventional Reno Racer sort of scheme or the top portion paint job (don't know what it's called but it was like the Raffle Spit Brian made I think).
