Thumbs up for Gen Ace Lipo's so far

I bit the bullet and bought 10 Gens Ace packs recently. On the first batch of four I got one with a bad cell that would not charge over 4 volts. I contacted HobbyPartz and they replaced that battery. I must say I was a bit worried that the quality of the packs wasn't going to be good. I have been using them for a week so far and compared to Turnigy packs of the same C rating and MAH they stay much cooler, have a higher average voltage and are even giving me a little more run time. If they stay working like this I will be more than impressed.

I bought four 4s5000mah 40c cells for my electric Hpi Baja, four 3s1550mah 25c cells for one of my planes and two 4s2200mah 30c packs for another plane. It seems that every pack runs cooler and longer than my turnigy packs.

I've been using their 30C 6S 5300 packs for a few months now. My packs with around 75 cycles on them still have >90% of their capacity in them and haven't lost their punch. My plane peaks at around 80 Amps and the packs come out barely warm with no puffing.

Good to hear...looks like as long as they don't change anything I have a new favorite pack.

I'm running two 6s 5000mAh 30C packs for a 12S setup in a Comp Arf Spark. Holds voltage very well and on a hot day 95 degree ambient comes off the plane at 118 degrees with minimal airflow over them. Internal resistance varies 1-3 mohm between cells. I got them at $77 each so can't complain. So far I only have 6 cycles on them.

I have just started ordering batteries for my forth battery size (8S using two 4S 5300's) and GA batteries have never let me down. They look and perform like when I received them. I do follow good lipo practices but I routinely charge them at or near 5C. I wish the HP was easier to talk to but all of my orders came quickly and never had a problem.

I have two Gen Aces 3s 5300 lipos no complaints now (one was unbalance upon receipt). I did observe with both of them that the capacity mirrors my 5000 lipos (Blues and other brands, using same esc cutoff, etc) rather than showing an extra 300mah. Doesn't bother me, just an observation that neither of them take more mah.
