These were cut using a CraftRobo cutter........... mines an earlier version of this

Getting a cutter was indeed an indulgence, but the look of all my models have taken a quantum leap forwards.

I am honest. I just found this thread and read the whole thing. My Android won't play the video (HD maybe?) But this is one nice build Steve! Well worth the learning curve and time. Now subscribed of course . Thank you for sharing and your talants are very much appreciated.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

This one will depict a Marine VMF-232 'Red Devils' FJ-4.

That is a fine example to model this after. Good speed with completion of the final details.

Quite pleased with the results so far. This is the part of the build I really enjoy as the the model starts to come to life.

I've attached a picture of the very basic 'Craft Robo' vinyl/ craft cutter that I used to cut the 'Ultramask'. The lettering was drawn on a '2D design' basic CAD program.

Now that is just over the edge nice, nice, nice! I wonder if the standard 'Cricket' machines they sell here can be hooked to a computer. They sell cartridges for using the machine, with standard designs, and each one costs $$$$$$.$$ and tax!

Hi Guys,

Not happy with and shall have to rework the canopy...........then add a few details, such as the structure on the fin above the rudder and the two intakes on the side of the fuselage............then it's finished!

Putting these final jobs on hold for a while as I have to prepare for the UK Nats.

Thanks Guys,

The Fury will be flown as is for the time being, indeed I'm looking forward to the next flight............. the weather here has been too windy of late.

I shall 'grow' a new canopy plug onto one of the fuselage 'failures' to ensure a good fit and an accurate shape and then try to make a vac-forming table like Freddie B's

Flew the Fury on 4cells

After about a minute the motor and esc fried and I lost radio control. The Fury flew perfectly freeflight and landed in some bushes with little damage

Lucky!

I've just beefed up the power train with a 2030 inrunner, a 35a CC esc and a 3s2p 1220mAh battery. AUW has crept up to 15 1/2 oz.

Hope to test the new system on Saturday

We're definitely missing an in between size for 40mm fans I reckon. A nice 14 or 16mm inrunner would be the ticket.
