"Cool Thread of the Moment" - 1/7 Scale Sopwith - HOLY COW!

So there I was scorching through the site when a build thread slapped me right between the eyes - BAM! This is the most intense build thread I have seen for a while and I had to stop and share it with all you guys!

This user is building a 1/7 scale Sopwith and he says, "Replicraft plans are of the real thing right down to the nuts and bolts so however the real plane was built that's how I'm going to build it and what ever worked on the real plane will work on this one." The detail on this build has to be seen to believed. As a transmitter I would be proud to control something like this...

It is better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all.

non flying model

The craftsmanship is unbelievable and the model is absolutely stunning but to be clear it's a "...non flying animated model without covering...". It's built to look and move like the real thing without being limited by the requirements of flying/landing stresses and loads, or otherwise commiting aviation.

Dream with the rest of us Terry. This model will only fly in our collective dreams, virtual or otherwise. If he'd built it 7X larger maybe -

just Some Useless Geek
"Non-flying animated model," eh? Well, let's hope so. That thing is made out of metal, for Pete's sake! It would be a total brick even with covering.

However, if you are into statics...
