New Product

GW Xieda 9958

You may or may not be familiar with the JC 9C002, which is a heli that is seemingly inspired by the Solo Pro, well now we have the GW Xieda 9958, another single rotor beginner heli that borrows some design aspects from the MSR.

At $65.90 it's well priced, and includes:
  • 4-Ch 2.4G Remote controller
  • Pre-assembled GW Xieda 9958 Helicopter
  • USB Charging Cable
  • 1 X 3.7V 150mah Li-Po Battery
  • 2 Pcs of spare blades
  • Instruction Manual

Runs from a 150mAh battery which can be charged via the TX or via a USB power source with the included charging cable. Battery connection looks identical to an E-Flite micro connection, so plenty of battery options available.

This one has caught my eye as it looks well built and seems to use good quality materials. I think it's amazing how cheap these things are becoming.

What do you guys think?

You weren't looking at this one by any chance:

I managed to find a video of it. The video quality is poor and the pilot isn't doing much, but from what I can gather, this heli seems to fly rather well:

I think these are the same ones for $48.61 at Focalprice where they are referred to as Great Wall 9958:

Very interesting!

NOTE: These are also being discussed on The Coaxial Forum.

A couple more videos found by Brosol:

9958 單旋翼直昇機 (1 min 41 sec)

Looks good to me, especially for the price.

Nice video. Good to see that the Helipal guys have some nice bikes in the background too.

I think it looks pretty good. I notice that a purple one is available now too:

The black one looks the best though, in my opinion.

I am really interested in this model. I wonder how it compares to an MSR? I wish someone would do a decent review soon...or I will

This is very confusing. It looks like an MSR head, but says it has an offset flybar. It says it has a Bell head, but it sure doesn't look like one. It should have flybar paddles but those don't look like paddles to me.
