My friend in Spain has one of these... but with a guy instead of a bottle... will be interested to learn how this works out for you!

Thank you my friends.
The bottle pilot is just for a test flight.
Easy to build and to add weight ,if necessary.
The servo arms are not ready yet.
It flied smoothly about 30m from the top of a hill without radio control in a no wind condition.
A good beginning, I thought.

That would be really cool with an old, large sized G.I. Joe with King Fu grip!

I would like to see the flight test videos...
I have one of these and I haven't been sucssessful at flying it.
I wonder if it the site (too much turbulence) or the foil setup...
This is the longer flight I managed over lots and lots of frustrating attempts

Hi Fernando
Thank you.
Great video to encourage me. It did fly....

A full-scale paraglider coach told me to shorten the first group of strings(A-Group) before that test flight. It works.

Hope I can fly as good as you did.

A real paraglider requires the A-risers (set of lines that connects to the leading edge of the wing) to be pulled slightly downwards in order for the cells to have pressure and the angle of attack to be established quickly after inflation. On a model paraglider, it would be useful to have a smaller servo to pull the A-lines forward when penetration into the wind is desired - this is similar to what the speedbar on a real paraglider does, except it changes the proportion between A and B,C risers. Pulling down on the A-risers would cause a frontal collapse.

If the A-riser is too loose, the wing will not inflate well - when it does inflate, it will not reach the required angle of attack and enter a parachutal stall - pretty much, just float downwards uselessly.

Something else that needs to be taken into account is that the wing needs considerable weight in order to maintain its shape and pressure. A real paraglider carries about 4 kilograms per square meter of aerofoil. Scaled down, this is still quite a bit of weight.

Anybody got a photo of how/where the brake line hang before they go to the servo's ??
Do they just free hang or go through the carrabinas (handpoint) to the servo arms .

Sean..
