That is exactly the reason I am not messing with tail servos anymore.
Hey,I bought 10 of the NUKE-3 servos.
Tested them ,2 vent to the garbage right away,8 installed,7 still flying,1 complaint from You.
I am sorry.
I did not try to save on servos ,or make more money,I just wanted help out
people with not so tricky ,but time consuming installation.

I know and appreciate this. After all it was a MKS servo.
Just my bad luck - just as with the Hyperions I originally bought for my X.

So Ming emailed me back and said he had them in stock. So, I ordered one from him. $2 shipping from Hong Kong to Arizona is awesome. So we'll see which one gets here first. I really appreciate you all's help!!

It was a real chicken-launch, but it didn't feel dramatic.

Wow! Man,You have a great pare of hands.
If You fixed her that well and she flies again.
Thank You for entreatment .
Yuri.
P.S. Most of the year we have same sort of the skies here in Oregon.I figured ,that light colored planes are better to see.
Especially on landing approach ,when You have dark woods on the back ground.

Thanks Yuri!
It would not have been possible if it hadn't been that well built in the first place. Hard to imagine how it sustained the impact with so little damage. Awesome!

I agree on the colors. The brighter the better for overcast winter skies and middle aged men with fading vision

@Charger: thanks

Congratulation Arcteryxxx, well done

I had an accident aswell a couple of weeks ago,my controller got a sync problem which pushed the current up to 180A!Too much for my 1800 SLS APL,the soldered Z-connector melted.
Unfortunately i used no seperat RX-battery( the first and the last time!)
It was like on your picture, plane stuck up to the wing!!
But nearly no damage,i was really lucky, only the Accu was f...d and i had to glue the wingnose which was open about 10 cm!!!

Sometimes its not only about a solid airframe, sometimes low weigt can help aswell!

Yuri, did you ever think about a lightweigt-version of the x-pane?

Something like this:
Hotliner light (2 min 32 sec)

My Flipper seems to have about the same size of the x-plane,weigt is 690g,arround 2,5kw.

Regards
Yello

Mreyello - nice hotliner do you have a link... Where did you buy it?

In the video description it is stated 4S... for around 2.5kW that is 190A current ?

Yes, you are right, the video was with 4S Scorpion Hk2221 handwinded 4500KV 5:1.
current about 170A.I think there is even more possible but i dont want to fry my controller.

I also use the 2221-7 5:1 with 5S, current 160A.

I should have written "up to 2,5 Kw"

It is the hotliner-version of a private F5d-projekt and self built, more informations pictures and logs here:
http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showt...Hotliner-Light

Its in german,if nessesary i can try to translate.
