I would say capable of about 300mph Dynamic Soaring. Other wise, depending what you wanted to put in it, it should do 200mph plus.

Plane, motor, ESC, radio, prop, etc to go 200MPH...
Priceless.

My setup cost about $1,200, give or take a couple hundred, but I have the blazing hotliner setup. I think an F5D setup would be less. Lower current draw and cheaper props and no gearbox.

But I'm no expert, so...grain of salt...

Oh yeah...and the hotliner setup is more of a 150MPH setup. F5D setups will go faster...but you don't get the ridiculous 0-150MPH in 2.5 seconds Top Fuel acceleration.

My one on 4S 16/35/1 5.2 and 16x17s went through a 200m speed trap at 168mph, you could probably push this to 175+ with a better run. 5S would be damn near 190mph id imagine. Radar etc would give even higher numbers than the speed trap. This was all power on.

I think Yuri radared a 200mph+ with his on 5S.

Is anybody putting any offset in the flap & ail servo arms ? I only ask cause i have never had a plane with flaps, and on my Swist,i took the advise of a few and offset the servo arms forward for better spoilerons, and pre-set differential (which worked out nice) Just wondering if i will need this for full flaps.I finished my control horns, they did not come out as good as i would have liked, but it is the best i can do with a dremel ...in the end,i am sure they will be fine.I still have to drill holes in the hooks.

I have the flap servo arms pointing slightly fwd in neutral. I copied Jacko who posted a picture of this early in this thread.

It's just insane how fast the hotliner setups are goin now. How many watts does it take to go 168mph these days? Thats right up there with f5d speeds, but I'm guessing it's still pretty short bursts followed by a bit of cruising around off throttle. I personally prefer f5d for the continuous top speed on less power, but seeing what you guys are doing with folding props these days sure have me itching for one! I haven't flown f5B since the Nimh days. I think I'm missing out.
