I contacted Hobby King but it doesnt seem like they are in a hurry to help me out. It looks like the fan housing was out of round and when I fired it up one of the blades caught as there is a scrape mark inside.

I should of checked it before I ran it.

mine scraped in a very small smot just because it was out of balance. vribration causes some bad things to happen.

The fans listed above have a current draw much higher than the stock setup. As long as you are aware of this it would cause no harm, but just adding one of these fans you will fry the ESC.

if they wont replace the fan blade or fan for you free, I would buy the original fan or parts to fix it stock.

I requested spare rotors in the HobbyKing forums, maybe if more people ask there they will list it sooner.

The AEO 35mm rotor fits the stock motor shaft. The shaft is not long enough to go all the way through and use a nut to fix it, so you will have to use a drop of CA. And remember to balance it before glueing.

One way to keep amp draw lower, if needed, is to remove 4 of the blades.

Chads, throw it out - it's now useless. CA will never hold it on.

Have you the means to trim a 40mm GWS rotor down to fit the fan?

Good news... micro Mig15 flies well, 4 different batteries through it too...
First flight was a Rhino 460 3s 20c, then 360 3s 20c, then Rhino 610 3s 20c and finally flew it with a Turnigy 500 2s 20c ( although only just )... they behave much better with 3 cell!
Even managed a couple of flights alongside Nitro's Mig... man that thing is nice with the higher rated battery, pity the 65c is $$.
Anyway a success with a few minor bruises, can't wait to get all our micro's up at the same time... Jace with his F86, Ozzi and Odysis with their Migs!
We have proven that the weight of a 610 or even slightly bigger is not an issue...

Hahaha, yeah right... but still its wonderful that it'll cope with such a range of batteries. How did you find it went on the Rhino 3s 360's? Mine are still on order and I'm getting impatient.

how did they hold up, voltage wise? my 360's are sagging down to 3v/cell at WOT, even straight off the charge!

I may need to invest in some more cells. These are probably a year old, and stored at full most of that time

Strike almost parked his Mig on top of a light pole on the side of the field while trying it on 2S. Got it on video.


Skyangel 35mm EDF Mig 15 Jet just missing flying field light pole! (0 min 59 sec)


I tried mine on a 2S 320mah 25C Hyperion. It flew fine but I was WOT all the time to keep any sort of authoritative speed on it.

The 360 was holding 3.65v per cell even...

Nitro... I can get closer than that!

Then chances are they're cactus. A capacity test will return 80% or less of their original capacity I reckon, so yeah most likely time for new cells.

Do yourself a favour - when you get them, store them at around 3.85v/cell. This gives them the best lifespan and if you aren't going to use them at all for a few weeks then put them in an airtight container in your fridge, or at least make sure they're in a cool place.

That was my experience with the NanoTech 2s 370's. No contest once you've tried a 3s pack.

They still return 340mAh, but the IR seems to be through the roof!

I might need to take a soldering iron to some of those TP or Hyperion packs. NC seems to enjoy the extra punch
