..
+1. A 24"-36" wingspan wing is a great FPV platform.

Never ever got a glitch on my RC birds

Mainly using FM 40Mhz ... or 2.4Ghz FrSky gears ...

Got maybe 2 km far by accident with 40Mhz gears ... my 1.4m wing was like a little point in the sky ... I was on a top of a little hill in the middle of a flat land ... so that give better view for fly more far away ... I manage to make it come back to me ... luckily no glitch at all.

Same happen .. but much less distance ... with my Micro T-45 EDF ... was a point in the sky ... but luckily the micro FrSky got a stable signal ... and I manage to make it to come back to me

Wow, that must be some pretty strong interference.

I used the stock ESC and a 18-11 2000kv Micro Brushless Outrunner (10g)

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5358

Battery is a Rhino 3S 360mah. I totally forgot that i'll be running on 3S when I put the plane together. Otherwise, I would have opted for the Plush 10A.
The stock ESC seems to be holding up after 6 flights.

You like to put on the edge these little motors

It is stated as 2s and 5.5amp max .. so it may have a short life

Which prop you use? 5x3?

on my Mig-29, I use either a 5x3 or 4x4. Can't remember which one.
The motor suggested Prop is 7x5. That's big! it is the prop size of my F-27Q stryker.

Are you interested to convert too?

No ...

Just checking the possible life of your motor

Anyhow 5x3 2000kv 3s ... should not go above 6amp ... so ... it should last many flights

My 35 mm parts arrived. 3 and 5 blade fans and the Hobby B motor. Assembled and tested last night -- the 3 blade impeller shed it's blades on test run up!! The 5 blade was then assembled and runs fine. 10A esc and 3cell 500mah batt. Won't run on 2s for more than a half second. I guess I will run the 5 blade on 3S and use careful throttle management. I suppose I could order another 3 blade impeller or 2. I wish they could be shipped cheaper somehow.

Is there any chance the ESC cell count needs to programmed manually? If it's programmed for 3 cells, a 2 cell lipo will LVC.

What brand of ESC are you using, neb?

Not all ESC are the same quality. Some brands use so much voltage to operate that it doesn't leave much for the motor, thus a 2S will see low voltage very quickly and thinks its out of juice.

I've got a batch of ESC that was new and was slightly less expensive than a brand I had been using so I gave them a try and learned the hard way. Even on 3S, it will run with less power since not all of the voltage is delivered to the motor. Lesson learned for me...find a good brand and stick to it. Only HobbyWing/Turnigy/Volcano brand for me from here on out.

I ordered the 35mm A-10 almost 2 weeks ago. Enjoyed flying it on 2S (pretty quick). Recently upgraded to two 10a plush esc's and 11.1v 500mah turnigy nano battery (for now the 5 blade fan). Its a screamer now. Motor's don't get hot but battery does even with a little venting... thinking about switching to 3 blade fans. Fun plane if anyone is thinking of getting it.

Very interesting. It doesn't seem that much worse without the Gyro - at least on video. How was it on the flying end, on & off?
