I got a used Mig 15 at Apollo Xl field last weekend . It included everything but the Rx for $20, I hope all is well with it when I get the right Rx.

That was a nice score. BTW, do not attempt to launch it with an upward arc. There is some up incidence built into the horizontal stabs, it takes a hard push straight forward and it climbs up on it's own. If you toss it upward, expect a stall and subsequent flat spin just like the larger version.

Thanks for that Joe. Many hand launches under my belt , but the too great an angle of attack is still the OOPS that bites you in the A$$. It happened today on James's HET / WEmo powered mini Concept X. It did what looked like a controll line wing over into a nose splat. But was only minorly dinged.

I have the F-86 and it's a nice little brother for my 60mm F-86.
I really like this little plane and everything was quality, but the aileron servo horn has too big of holes for those tiny connecting rods. Does anyone have a good fix for it? Some kind of grommet or something?

Thick CA to fill the open space, then hit it with kicker. After it cures, manually rotate the servo arm while bracing the rods. The cured CA will pop loose and you're left with a bearing and greatly reduced slop.

Just a heads up to all that the stock 35mm EDF fans outrunner is rated at 6600kV, not 9000kV as advertised.

always something to learn...

Flew the Mig-29 again today, and filmed it onboard with a keychain cam. The footage is worthless, and I landed in a neighbor's bush. No damage. I then swapped batteries, and the red wire broke from the RX when I tossed it, removing all power to the plane. It stalled, and fell to the ground, no further damage. Pretty tough plane. I had thought the ESC had given out, but found the broken wire when I got home. A quick solder job, and it is ready again. -------Metalguy

That's good info. Thanks.
Nice avatar, I wish that plane was available as a PNP.
