Thanks for posting the video NitroCharged. How about a pic of that finger grip too! That worked really well for you!

At around 1:28 in this video I mention the grip and it can be seen.
Skyangels 35mm EDF Red Arrows Hawk Maiden Flight - Pt1. (3 min 11 sec)

In this video there's a freeze frame at the biginning as I ramble on:
Skyangels 35mm EDF Red Arrows Hawk CG tests. (3 min 38 sec)

Here's how I sliced the intakes. These photo's are of the 50mm hawk I modded but I did exactly the same thing on the 35mm version.

Initial flight tests of the A-10 were not good. It appears as though the manufacturer recommended CG of 25mm back is incorrect. The model was tail heavy and incredibly pitch sensitive, virtually uncontrollable when attempting to land. Nose weight was added to bring the CG forward to 20mm back from the leading edge and that tamed the little beast. The pitchy handling is now much more stable, landings are buttery smooth. It's got adequate power on 2s. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...75&postcount=4

Awesome review Joe! I havent had a chance to mess with my a-10 beyond fixing a bent up wing. Any chance of a flight vid and some numbers as far as your auw without a lipo as well as with?

Thanks, again awesome job!

No flight vid yet, my wife was slow to rise today and I did all my testing early.

The weight of the plane without lipo is 142g and that includes the 14g of lead in the nose. The 2s 800 mAh 40C lipo is 48g. The 2s 1000 mAh was 62g so if I use that, the 14g of lead gets removed. So figure an AUW of 190g including ordinance and landing gear.

Care to comment on any details? Looks like squared intakes ala super hornet, more of a pointed nose, a two seat canopy, vertical stabs positioned differently on the fuse, scalish landing gear, yet some parts look like a Jpower.

As is somewhat usual, a manufacturer spends considerable resources to develop a scale RC airframe, and then, as an afterthought, adds too large/too small/grotesquely shaped/misplaced aircrews....

Do you have something against "Little People" Gene?

Little people are people, Too!

The Pilot is just a little person with very long legs.
