New Product

Nine Eagles Solo Pro 100D / Solo Maxx 3D

Thanks to Steve1991 for bringing this to my attention.

Looks like Nine Eagles will be entering the micro 3D action, with the Solo Maxx 3D / Solo Pro 100D.

Can't really find much info on it, apart from that it is a micro sized collective pitch flybarless heli.

Sweet!! you found more pics

Time to study this new little fella. Reminds me of the T-Rex 100 because of the color scheme and sort of shape, but it's distinctively different.

Still has an angled tail boom, like the good ol solo pro.

Cool, a 100 size FBL heli. Certainly beyond the "vaporware" stage.

It appears they have a few things up their sleeves now:
  • Solo Pro 100D: 100 sized flybarless CP
  • Solo Pro 180 3D: 120 sized flybarless CP
  • Solo Pro 328: 120 sized 45 deg flybar FP
  • Solo Pro 228: 200 sized 45 deg flybar FP

Just remembered, there's already a thread for discussion of new NE models here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1388784

Nine Eagles could be the real Walkera killer that Elfight isn't. Both are often sold at the same vendors in China. Whereas Eflight is not sold in China at all. According to the Japanese blog, it seems that the Solo Maax is still early in development.

http://takkunpapa.air-nifty.com/blog/2011/05/index.html

Sudden appearance of a small helicopter, the prototype of the Solo Pro 180 3D RTF Kit.

Specification, a rotor diameter of 318mm, weight 105g, Takeshi Tamotsu 360mm, transmitter 2.4GHz 6ch, the battery is 3.7V600mAhLipo brushless variable pitch. Furaibaresu fashion machine, and torque to drive the tail of this size.

The metal was also cool to the radio head attached. Helicopter to the room is slightly larger.

Subsequently, the exhibition is a reference Solo MAXX 3D also.

Here is that the specs still undecided.

SW radio is also equipped with an LCD screen so that the seems to be the various settings.

Just to avoid confusion, it seems in Japanese territories the Solo Pro (FP) is called the Solo Maxx. So it's natural for the upcoming CP version to be named the Solo Maxx 3D.

I believe it will be known as the Solo Pro 100D in other parts of the world, judging by the labelling on the canopy.

Also, the specs posted above are for the Solo Pro 180, not the Maxx 3D / Solo Pro 100D.

Without knowing the internals, and more specs, it's a bit premature to call this a cloned mCP X. It's true Blade had the first one on the market, but does that make any 100 size CP a clone by default? Even the Solo Pro is often referred to as a clone of the mSR, while people that have flown both will assure you they fly quite differently, despite their similarities. And sometimes the features and quality of the "clone" surpasses the "original", like the NE TX, which has far more features than the Blade RTF TX, and the SP and Bravo SX main motors, that surpass power and durability of the Hobbyzone UM plane motors by a great deal.

Personally, I'm looking forward to more diversity on the micro CP market, not just Walkera and recently Blade, but Align and NE can bring some nice competition. The proof of the pudding is in the flying, I'd say, and what we have to pay for these "micro miracles".

So does the 180 look like a rebadged Walkera or an original nine eagles model?

Guess we won't be able to tell until we find a picture with the canopy off. From the outside it certainly looks like a V120D02. Not sure what the electronics are like. There is a video of it flying (just hovering really) and it appeared quite stable.
