i dont think you want your FPV camera moving with a head tracker on a quad.

that might make life difficult.

I find when flying FPV it is a lot harder to fly sideways and backwards. forwards is easier and Alt Hold will fix the losing altitude problem

I use alt hold when flying high FPV and it works great.

Really? Id hoped it would make it easier by judging clearances at the sides which you cant see looking sraight ahead..... I've sort of convinced myself to go straight fixed camera to start with... but... have ordered the servo operated camera mounts (2 of), just in case.....

try it, but i could only see using it with a position hold and alt hold with GPS assist to look around.

but you might have different luck.

The best thing you can do Artie is use a wide angle lens. Im using a K171 camera with super-wide lens, its a big improvement over the stock lens.

It was from RangeVideo.com but looks like they dont sell that model anymore. Jump over to the fpv threads theres plenty of advice on cameras.

Maybe if you try to fly with OSD and there you can see alttitude.

My fvp experience: It is not so hard to fly arround. But it is hard to fly with a reason to film something. When object is far away and you have nothing to crash into on that altitude, it is ok

But when you try to film slow low close shots of some object, I get really confused how close am I. Or if I'm going backwards/forwards/sideways. So the seconds person stading besides you helps a lot

not much at all. i will be using a RePlayXD camera and a fpv system. I was told photoshipone had a mount but I didn't find anything and I didn't really want to spend to much for one. maybe 15oz or so. I looked on the multiwii website but didn't have any luck finding a camera mount for the bird.

I haven't gotten the hexii yet but will be getting everything they recommend on their site. :-)

Here's the latest and second to last Bay Area Super Prestige race of the season. Honestly, I'm getting tired of all the bike race filming, and want to film other events/subjects. Just one more race to go...

This video was shot using:
Scarab Hexiikopta with Paris v.4 Sirius
Scarab QuadOctakopta with Pari v.4 Sirius
Scarab Stealth with Paris v.4 Sirius
all with a GoPro HD

Well today I was flying the Scarab without autolevel on. The first time ive done so and I have to say that in normal flying, I probably wont use autolevel unless ive got the camera on board.

Anyway thats not what happened... I was cruising around at probably 50 metres and I 'experienced orientation issues', I ended up in the sun and lost it so I shut it down... dead drop and I really thought it was 'toast'.... I shut it down cause the sea was not far away and in the direction it was headed when last seen (bring on the monocoque frame!!) Ill be the first to admit I aint real good at this..... :-)

1 broken motor mount and 1 twisted mount.... no other damage, not even a prop....... I like tough!

I think Ill order a set of Quintons new motor mount reinforcments plates.
