If you can wait, just wait!!!
Wait for the FMS one, I have a v2 on maiden it went in tonight. Not 100% sure but I have been flying multi engine aircraft for years and this one has me stumped. Could be all the flexing that goes on with this airframe. Its built very cheap.

I had great luck with the J-Power V2 - It was an awesome flier, very efficient motors, great e-retracts, and a smooth flight character. It does need a higher AoA in order to reduce prop strikes, and the gear doors are trash, but the biggest killer (And what eventually destroyed mine) was the lack of a BEC. If you wire one in on the V2 I think you're in for a bargain.

That said, I'm turning to this FMS version for my next P-38. I don't think there is much wrong with the J-Power V2, but FMS has really won me over with their recent releases and I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that their Lightning will be top-notch. I'm definitely staying tuned for updates as they become available - Are we thinking August release?

I don't care if it's August, September or December...As long as the scale fidelity is correct, I will gladly wait.

I fly the FMS Stuka on a regular basis and I have got to tell you...I have rarely seen a foamy look so amazing in the sky. There is no doubt that the makers of that plane knew what they were doing.

If they pay the same attention to the P-38 as they did to the JU-87 Stuka...I will buy more than one for sure.

I think sometime between now and then.

Don't you have a Hyperion Stuka too Aros? I flew mine yesterday, it does have that look to it.

I will never sell my Hyperion. I like it way to much. When it comes to balsa/ply vs foam, I will stick with balsa. We have alot of wind here and the heavier plane wins.

Don't get me wrong, I have alot of foam planes too so I am not knocking them.
