I wonder how that would work exactly, as the devo is not compatible with the rx2702v ? and the new 12 channel receiver is not a 3 axis one??

We will have to wait and see. Walkera seems to attach great importance to this heli as it is first to be bundled with the Devo 12. I wonder if there is much competition at all to a nitro heli of this size? In my experience, nitro engines of less than 0.25 have a rather poor throttle response.

Looks like another one of those models that Walkera just throws out there to get everyone excited, but has little or no quality control and is repetitive, i.e. the subtle differences in the models CB180D and CB180Z in the fp helis. I believe this to be a much newer fbl version of the HM83#. I am not into nitros, so I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.

My nitro days are well and truely over, I last flew one 12 years ago. With children around, I don't want to mess around with inflammable fuel and unhealthy smelly vapor. I miss the throttle response and the torque of a nitro motor compared to an electric motor. Somehow, electric planes and helis are just so unreal compared to real aircraft.

Nonsense. Electric technology has already surpassed the power and efficiency of fuel. I think we'll see the death of the internal combustion engine and other fuel burning relics within our lifetimes.

I agree about the safety and pollution issues. If your electrics leave you unsatisfied, it is probably due to lack of noise and smell. If, for some reason, you find your electrics to be lacking in power, it is your setup. The technology certainly exists.

I was not talking about power, I am mainly talking about the throttle response. Nitro engines appear to have a much more linear response than electric motors. This caused a lot of trouble for me when I switched to electric helicopters after the 12 year gap.

ya... to be hornest I like the smell and sound of nitro. But nowdays I would say I fly my EP heli 95% and nitro for 5%, or even less.... The torque and flight time for EP is so good (and keep getting better). But as said I sure like the smell, sound, smoke of nitro..... Think it is like smoking once you tried it and it is really hard to get it out of your head..... lol
