Ok, here we go TW. You don't even need to put floats on. I want to see a video of you doing that with this bird

I'm already thinking of all the little accessories I can put on this thing. Pitot tubes, exhaust pipes,Venturi, antennas. Maybe even mod the cowling so you can open it.

The more I look at this thing the better it gets. I put a call into my LHS and Horizon. I'll definately get one with another one a few months later "just cause!" They broke the mold with this one!

Hi Dave,

Are you guys planning a Clipped Wing version too?? Sure would be nice to have a light aerobatic version.

Thanks,

I'm sure we will see lotsa' cool custom mods on this bird soon, but it's a great looking scale Cub. I would just leave it shiny and add some floats!

The floats wouldn't happen here but the other mods are beginning to be endless in my mind. Helped my dad rebuild 3 full scale of these in the past. I hated the stitching on the wings and sanding and recoating all the tubing on fuse but end results were always nice.

OOOH CRAPPOLLA!!! I just realized what didn't seem right about this beautiful Cubby... I couldn't peg it for a couple days and now I see it... it's missing the dadburn "Super Cub" name on the cowl!!

with all the attention to detail, how could this one be sold with the cowl looking like this??!!

even our beloved HZ Super Cub has the correct cowl... geeeez

Dave, Dave, Dave... with all due respect sir, please tell me that the cowl will be corrected and good to go on the final release!!

if not... I just won't able to buy this one, I just can't...

Don't let that stop you HD. In the real world (most planes) it's actually a rarity to see that on the cowling. But a trip to the decal shop would fix this if wanted right quick.

Subscribed. Been looking for a new high wing scale plane and this one looks so, so shiny. Now to cook the books and raid the kids' college fund.

I've been trying to figure that out too. It looks like there may be a hatch up front (underside) but can't tell. The open door is a battery access idea too!

The battery hatch is underneath, just aft of the cowl ! Saw a pic on another site where you can see the hatch panel lines, and a hatch part in the exploded parts view.

I see it now in this pic - you can see the hatch line if you look carefully.

Just looked at full scale pics on airliners.net. I just did a quick scan of 240 pics. 4 had the Super Cub on the cowl. So 1.6% of them have that. It shows E-Flite is pretty spot on.

But if that is the diff for ya, I suspect you could purchase that marking or decal from one of the many vendors.
