See this commit:

This is work that is being done on the sonar module for CC.

As the commit states, we have a lot of testing to do yet but it will enable Octo support on CC as well. Of course it won't be as easy as just plugging in to a header, you would have to change the RC input cable and it will not be officially supported but it is possible.

Same with the sonar module we will provide instructions on how to use it but it will take a bit more work than simple plug and play like the core of CC is.

I was able to get the BlueTooth Working now on the Telemerty port.

Serial and Flexi Port Cable
Color.....Serial.....I2C.....JST-SH Pin
Black.....GND......GND.....1
Red.......PWR.....PWR.....2 (Unregulated 5v)
Blue......TX........SLC......3
Orange...RX......SDA......4

Hooking up the Bluetooth adapter you reverse the RX to TX for cross communication.
Pinouts:
CC ---------- BT
Gnd -------- Gnd
5v ----------- 5v
Tx ---------- RX
Rx ---------- TX

I set the Telemetry baud rate to 115200 in GCS, although i did not see a difference when it was at 57600 I just set it to match what I set in Windows for the port speed when pairing with bluetooth serial module.

Give it a try, this way you are not tethered to your computer USB Cable, makes changes and tuning easier. Plus will be able to possibly use the android software one my phone for a Quick Portable Ground Station.

I had this same idea, picked up a sparkfun Bluetooth Mate Silver from my local Micro Center. Now I'm just waiting on what I hope are the right adapter cables to come in since the official ones are out of stock.

I am very interested in a GCS or at least a tuning app for android.

Also, had my first CC quad flight today! Will post details shortly.

Looks good, I assume this can only be used on quads or less? Not enough outs for a hex + camera?

First CC quad

My first successful quad, based on CopterControl. Quad was originally based on multiwii, but didn't turn out well. This one performs beyond my expectations! I had it out in 15mph winds today without much of a sweat.

Parts list:

radicalrc 1000kv motors http://www.radicalrc.com/category/CD...ess-Motors-118

MPI Counter Rotating Prop Set 8 x 4.5 http://www.radicalrc.com/category/Props-34

Using misc 1000 - 2200 mah 3s batteries

Empty weight 17.8 oz, hovers about half throttle

I got mine from XRotor when i was building a WiiCopter. But there are a simple Serial bluetooth module, with 5v to 3.3v regulator.

Also several on Ebay.

Great, I will have to give that a try. Do you already have someone working on an Android app?
