dt8666,

I sent you a PM to see if I could add this onto my order without getting charge (expensive) shipping twice.

Please let me know.

I haven't been keeping up with progress, but with my kk board I just use the gain pots to tune my quad. What parameters does the LCD let you change?
HI,
If you only choose the default firmware, it is the XXControl that MUST use LCD to enable any settings.

email to me if you want to do any changes.

The LCD function that support the XXControl privides numbers of tuning parameters. just to name a few and you can see from Mike's release as well.
- Gyro gains and direction
- Stick calibration
- Low voltage alarm trigger point
- stick arm position
- diagnostic function
- realtime read of gryo value
- PID settings..
- Update Rate
- and many more..
- it goes beyond just the normal 3 pot setting

Downside?? Not what we can see. this low price is not a cutting of corner. you can see from the beta board and also the PCB drawings.

The possible downside is you can do more so you have to keep your mind active

Retry with pictures

Now the MEMS module is ready.. once verified, will be putting up as blank PCB for your DIY.

Price to be determined. Any suggestion to be reasonable??

Donl ask me to go below cost please..not everytime..

The ACC will be a real test to the coder and to the MCU ! but again who know some might have a greatly optimised code that squezzzzzz every drop of the MCU processing power

Ok question? will the lcd work with the board configured in x mode. or only in plus mode. I ordered both my boards with the x mode and one is coming with the lcd. I am assuming it is going to work. but have to ask to make sure.

LCD work with all the mode that supported by XXControl. NOT XXcontorl_KR

Currently XXControl support:
- Quad +
- Quad X
- Tri
- Hexa
- Y6

PCBs look to have the signature seedstudio mark, so they should be something like $10/10 amirite? anyhow, I doubt anyone is bored enough to hand-solder LGA to a blank pcb...

this is hobby... some boring work to someone might be a fun work for another.

sure it is too much for me as I dont have the skill. but for some, this could be fun to play with the oven!

I know Manu is looking for that fun

Hi!

I have just pre-ordered 2 KK Plus V5.5d & LCD. Sounds very interesting for that price, even though shipping is a bit high.

I have some questions:
Where can we find more info about the actual features provided by the LCD?
When will the boards be ready to be shipped out to all who have pre-ordered?
Will the different Firmware-Versions of XXControl be available at multircshop.com?

thanks in advance and kind regards from vienna, austria!

Here is the answers:
Where can we find more info about the actual features provided by the LCD?
- for function that you can use with the LCD, you can refer to the discussion of XXControl by Mike
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1324621

When will the boards be ready to be shipped out to all who have pre-ordered?
- Estimated 1st/2nd week of July as in the description page

Will the different Firmware-Versions of XXControl be available at multircshop.com?
- you can select from the order. choose from the optional drop down menu for the firmware that you prefered.

I think what he is trying to say is down the road if someone wants to switch the firmware in the board can it be done and will you provide the digfferent firmware on your site.

Its just kkboard firmware... So you can download your own elsewhere or whatever etc
I'm sure dan will have whatever customizations he has posted either as source or .hex files for people to get. There's nothing to hide.

And I plan to add the firmware also to the kkmulticopter flash tool. So you don't care about the URL

sounds great guys.

I am just new to KK and XX, starting with KK Plus V5.5.
I only was concerned when changing my mind lateron and switch from + to x or do a Tricopter instead where to find the right Firmware for that in order to flash with usbasp.
But no problem at all as far as I found out now ;-)

Actually I was flying Mikrokopter before but I sold my MK-Quad, since this was imho a bit overloaded with parameters and sensors and stuff. and most important: too expensive for having just fun with it.

KK Plus V5.5 seems to be a very good way to start with KK Platform for a very reasonable price and fly Quads a bit more relaxed with total costs of around 100 USD compared to more than 1000 USD on a microkopter...

Thanks so far for your help, looking forward to receive my boards and finish my next projects.

regards from vienna, austria!

For those who wonder how much is the final price including shipping to EU for a single board (No LCD): 40SGD = 33 USD = 23€

Not Bad

Like HK but you can choose your firmware.
