Well guys, I must say... I was blown away with how smooth, sharp, and addictive this Stinger flys.

I maidened it yesterday with my RCLander 3900kv setup on 3s and QUICKLY jumped to 4s (That's where the fun starts)

I was so impressed that I just ordered two more PNP kits haha! REALLY great model, you guys weren't kiddin. : )

Forgive my buddy, he wasn't ready for a little close encounter haha

Looking for a dedicated 4s setup, wanting to go fast 100mph+
Not looking at spending a heap on a EDF setup
Looking for something reliable, what would you guys recommend?
I've read the HET 6404 64mm fan is a good unit?
+1 to vanderbrander's advice
you might also want to check the Mercury alloy edf's + some high C rated batteries

check my video, 3S 25C Rhinos
Stinger edf (2 min 17 sec)

now it flies with 4S 65C Nanotechs and the result is quite impressive!

I've got a brand new one of these fans sitting at home
Ordered my self a Stinger kit, will be installing this fan
Anyone else put one of these into their Stinger?
Is it an easy installation, any modifications needed?

Should go pretty good with this setup on 4s
Will be using 1800 4s 40c packs

Quick setup question. looking to upgrade my stinger to 4s, and is wanting to buy the 64mm 7 blade fan from HK with there HK3800kv motor. with 45 amps. Is that good considering its a 7 blade fan or should i get there 5 blade fan?

So guys whats the word on the pnf version of this thing from hobbyking? Is it worth paying the extra for the pnf or should I go the arf and do my own motor/esc/servos? I will not be able to go the Dons RC route quite yet as I am a bit tight on cash, which is why the pnf version is so enticing. Any reccomended motor/esc combo from hobbyking? What are your guys thoughts on this??(off to read this entire thread as I am sure this question has been answered lol)

the stock plane and set up is a great way to start. no muss, no fuss. It hauls along just fine on a 1800 or 2200 11.1 battery. once your cash flow is flowin, get the Dons set up. i finally put my first Stinger into the ground but easy enough to fix. got my second one a little while ago and will be dropping in the Dons set up this week.

You can not buy the servos for the price difference between the ARF and PNF. It is a good deal. The stock motor and ESC work well. Buy it, fly it and then get a 4S Lipo, a 40A 4S capable ESC and a $17 4000kV motor from HK and hang on...

Got my 64mm RClander fan and 4000 motor ready to go
The stinger kit was posted today so should have it soon
What's the best way to install this fan as there is no locating pins or tabs?
Push fit with some double sided tape?
First EDF

nice fan, you will enjoy it!
a little bit of epoxy on the side that the fan touches the fuselage will do the trick
