Depends on whether you're flying 3S or 4S. The ailerons are very sensitive - on high rates it rolls faster than my eyes can keep up.

Here's my setup (DX8 and 4S). For what it's worth - mine is pretty conservative. Everyone has their own personal preferences, but it's probably a good starting point.

Aileron 30/30, 40/50, 60/50 (I rarely use 60/50)
Elevator 75/40, 90/50, 100/50
Rudder 100/50

Set your CG at the rear of the finger grips, she should fly really nicely there. Set yourself to low rates until you get used to it. Give it a good throw into the wind upward at about 30 degree angle and hopefully you'll be home safely afterwards with some video or a detailed flight report

When im screwing the wings does anyone use glue to make sure the wings are succure, or are the screws effeciant enough to hold the wing in, also looking at buying the HK fan with the ADH300 motor, can that motor with a 45amp ESC handle my 4s battery? or is there some other edf system that can handle my 4s lipo?

I made an air brake for stinger. It might reduce the effectiveness of the vertical stabilizer but we'll see.

It glides really well but I'd like to slow it down more. Where I fly the ground isn't so smooth so I need to shave off speed as quickly as a can before I plop it down to reduce the distance it drags on the ground. I broke off the nose in my last flight after it hit a bump after it landed.

Pull the nose up higher on the flare then. The Singer can be slowed to almost a crawl.

Is there a way to program a mix with the ailerons and elevator for some pseudo flaps?

I flew mine the other day in a relatively small field. With the Texas breeze, a 1600mah, and some careful high-alpha, it practically hovers before landing. Of course, going downwind, I've got to be VERY careful that I don't end up in the next county!

Well then It seems that I don't have enough elevator throw to pitch it up to flare. I'll readjust my elevator throws. Regardless, I still want to test out the air brake.

I just ordered my Stinger kit, will be using my own EDF setup
Looking for a dedicated 4s setup, wanting to go fast 100mph+
Not looking at spending a heap on a EDF setup
Looking for something reliable, what would you guys recommend?
I've read the HET 6404 64mm fan is a good unit?

Look into a set up from Dons Wicked...it's about 50 and change for fan/motor/balance. More than enough power

I tested out the air brakes and they were useless. I did however increase the elevator throws. I had so much fun doing high-alpha flight that I eventually stalled it and slightly cracked the intake.

The airbrake might not work. It will give you elevator up instead of braking. It would have to be on the cg point .

Well to be fair I couldn't really tell any difference at all. So yes, it's not very effective. I already removed it.

Yeap HET 6404 because it will take a 28mm inrunner motor like HET 1W30 or ARC 28-48-1.

You'll need the bigger can motor to get +110mph. I doubt there's a 24mm can motor out there that will get you 1000w reliably.

If you don't want to spend much - talk to Don's RC. He's got a couple of good outrunners that will get you close.

If you want to go seriously fast a HET 1W30 will get you there but you're going to need some serious high C rated batteries.
