What to do with your ACE Simple series Wing

I only wanted to show what I did with my ACE simple-series foam wing.

After fitted the original me-109 fuselage with a .10 glow engine(have'nt got the engine to start yet )
, I scratchbuilded a new for electric conversion.

My intention was to build a "fastgoing"/reno race/aerobatic-style of aeroplane. Well, u can be the judge of that if I succeeded with it. Still same balsa box construction as in the ACE Simple series.

It flies with speed400 DD, 7x600AE, 6x3 prop - a bit slow, but it floats great in the air... needs alot of open space to put down.
Have'nt got my lipo packs (3xE-tec 1200mAh) I guess that will put a little more juice into it

Total wieght is 17ounce (ca 500gram)

That would fly a little faster if you ran 8 cells of hecell or kan's.
And, I'd run a 5x5 or 5.5x4 prop.

U are right, haven't got around to get the any hecell yet (just bought a desent charger), and now I have ordered the lipo packs, so. But I am going to get a some new prop as u suggested. I have flown electric for about a year now (and alot of simulator) and starts to really enjoy speed =)

Nice plane, cute kid. Looks like he is about to give it a kiss. After a really good flight, I sometimes feel like doing that myself.

I have built many slimmers with the ace taper wing one of my favorites was the Ace Pacer with a screaming 049TD. Where can you buy the Ace wing from

Looks great! The 6X3 is not a good prop for speed (or anything at all I have found), try the props LuckyArmpit sugested and you will be much happier.

Nice looking plane Cybear! Is it the 6v 400 or 7.2v? If it's the 6v, you might go down to a 4.75x4.75 prop.

==(3xE-tec 1200mAh)==

That might be too much for the 400 if it's the 6v. I was running a 400 with 2s2p 1200's on a 4.75x4.75. The motor got really hot pulling 10 amps on the 2s.

OT: I don't have nothing to contribute, but I just wanted to tell you, that your kid is already starting out to be a pilot. I have a 4month old, good boy and I can't wait for the day, that I can take pics. of him hold a plane and the day when he will solder his own battery packs

Thank u all for the support. I'll guess I have some tinkering to do with my aeroplane now.

It sounds that a switch to a speed 400 7,2 v and another CAM prop will to the trick.

I really love the simple foam wings. I build a "cruise missile" fuselage for my simple400 wing earlier in the summer. It also flew really well on the 7cell pack a got. I could even fit it with a cheap digital camera for aerialphoto.

Sorry to say, it crasched badly weeks later (without the camera in it) =((

Same setup, but with a gunter prop.
