Has anyone tested the actuator receivers with a Spektrum DX8 transmitter?

Hi. The rx's are mine and I have a Dx8 which works fine with them. DSM2 mode of course.

Rx34 is worth mentioning as it has the Molex Picoblade connector which is what the small HK servos use.
Regards, David.

I have two of David's Rx's (an Rx40 and a Rx24, now replaced by the Rx31).

Both are completely compatible with my DX6i

really interesting...
just one question, does DSM2 work with a DSMX DX6i?(yup you guessed it, my DX7 is dead...accidentally dropped it off a ridge... taking sth else out of my "flight bag")

Yes. DSMX transmitters can do DSMX and DSM2. They will use DSM2 with receivers that can only do DSM2.

Thanks, Nitro.

The Deltang RX43 looks very impressive. 0.35 grams for three actuator outputs and an ESC - and for about 25% less than the price of a Plantraco 2-channel RX of the same weight. All we need now is some actuators.

Plantraco have them as does Didel. Also some on Bidproduct but never seen those in the flesh.

I sold my winder as no one was buying coils anymore. Several years ago I made remote actuators from etched brass parts. Very labour intensive.

When the Kyosho and Spektrum bricks came out the interest in actuator models seemed to drop significantly. Not often you see people post actuator models anymore. I plan to build some when my workshop is set up again. Because I make the coils myself they are ultra cheap and therefore I don't mind splashing out on a nice RX like the DelTang. A 7mm pager and a 50mAh cell and you are in business....

And very nice!

I still have mine and recently purchased one of these receivers to use with them.

I don't know how many I sold in total - probably 60-80 pcs. Unfortunately some of those assembled with CA had the coil come off the frame in crashes. Laters ones assembled with epoxy should be OK. Maybe add a tiny blob of epoxy for safety?

I did some work on remote actuators made from laser cut parts but abandoned the project. With $4 micro servos nobody wants to pay $15-20 for an actuator.

Mine were kits. Assembled the coils to the frames with epoxy and mounted only with water soluble adhesive.

I'll be doing a Peanut or Pistachio when I have the time to get back to a micro.

Those look OK although I find it hard to trust the weight they state.
