Should have it in the water this month.

HI Joe....Yes will post some videos of the osprey....It has now done 17 flights after a very troublesome start.Ended up spending a lot of time to get it to fly nicely.

Some nice models turning up here ,but I would not expect a huge amount .In the club I belong to there are 40/50 members and as far as I know I am the only water plane flyer. cheers mintie

That looks great! Nice shot. I've just got my floats painted and ready but waiting for the Beaver kit which seems to be back ordered. I don't see a rudder on your floats. Why did you choose to not use one. How do you find the steering without it?

Seriously, yes...
I cannot believe such an apparently, large body of water doesn't have a ripple on it!

Dale,

I had a problem with the water rudder, the inner cable is a bit too flexible and that, combined with the 180 deg bend, meant that it wouldn't centre properly. And, as always seems to happen, I finished the model the night before and ran out of time to get it sorted.

Fortunatey the wind was light over the weekend so I managed to get away with no rudder but I did have a few 360s when taxying back to the bank!

I think I'll set it up with a closed loop system for the next event in September.
