Just my opinion, but I prefer these model videos with the noise of the engines, the chat between pilot and cameraman and (for electric models) the rattle of the water on the hull...I don't really think music adds anything.
The pictures are great though, this is one of my favourite threads. |

I agree, ditch the music in the videos, if I want music I'll turn on the radio

teryn1, if it makes you feel any better I enjoyed your video very much and the music really enhanced it. We all know what a motor or engine sounds like so a little mixed in here or there is all you really need. If your not going to use narration then music is the next best thing. Try some of the royalty free music sites that YouTube likes.

I hate I missed the video. I sometimes use music when I have to mute the original sounds because some loudmouths at the field won't stay quiet for three minutes. It's like a magnet or something and sometimes it's a bit rough to let go on the video.
Here's some video of my Hansa Bradenburg W.29 It's a great flyer, but I need to strip the covering from the floats and glass them. Even though I sealed them, they seem to leak a bit. I love the plane though.

Don't take it so personal, I still enjoyed your video, I just mute the sound. Not wanting music is just my personal preference and everybody's different, some like it some don't. What I really don't understand is the guy that has the sound system in his plane and still uses music in the video. I apologize if I upset you, my remark wasn't aimed at you but rather all videos in general.

I too apologise if I offended you - I was just expressing a preference, that's all. Mind you, there are times when the sounds picked up on the camera mike have to be edited out: the cameraman's annoying sniff, someone making an unacceptable comment, the sound of disintegrating balsa and ply and the subsequent curses...perhaps music has its place!
