T h a n k y o u S t e v e !

A very simple approach to paint and/or the building end of the hobby:

Build it to work properly and with the most accuracy[no short cuts], ie geometry of linkages, etc and then strive to make the installation look like a piece of furniture from Finland ! [I promise not place a sofa in your fuse]
Paint jobs and graphic schemes are something very different....the theme on your 26 although very simple in appearance took a bit of restrain to make it look classic and with a "scale flair". Always remember [and this does not apply to money in your wallet]: less is more !
an another good one is "kiss" = keep it simple silly.

Steve, have a great year with wonderful flights and friends to share them with !

Alvaro

Guys, if looking at the pictures here in this thread have not convinced you of his focus on quality and attention to detail, let me add that Alvaro is also a heck of a nice man and someone you'd want as a friend. I cannot recommend him and his work highly enough.

The ASH 26 above in post #84 now lives in my fleet and each time I take it out of the trailer it attracts a crowd of lookers. It's also highly visible in the air.

Ceres Lift paint

Well I had Alvaro do another one and it looks awesome. The blend lines on the paint are almost not discernible. The shine is amazing!

Thanks Alvaro!

My Ceres F3B Lift

Thanks again Alvaro! I can barely feel the blend lines from the red paint Alvaro put down! It used to be a rather ugly shade of mauve/Pink. Check out the pics. below. He also does a great job of getting the servo covers painted smooth so they drop back in place without issue.

Just so everyone knows - there was something lost in the translation when I ordered the new wings.....still, they weren't that bad....if you don't have something hounding you....:-}

Alvaro- Your work is stunning!

Amazing you use 2 pack too. That's quite a set up you must have to enable you to use that.

The finish is beautiful. Tell me do you 'polish' with a machine? If so is it a big car polisher you use as I imagine thats quite tricky to use on small bits and near edges not to go through, or is it all done by hand?

Cheers Tony
