Personally, I think 1 meter resolution is fantastic. This sounds like something that would not be designed to pin itself to a precise height so close to the ground.

'FPV'er...not a "LOS'er

Say...lot's of experienced, knowledgeable people here. I've been thinking of trying a home made tricopter. Anyone have a link(s) to some good DIY tri frames for the RCTimer 2830 size motors (like what most use on the 450 size quad frame) and 10" props?

I bought a 'basic' board and might add a BM085 baro later on, but for now I'm after more 'sports' type learning to fly. I've got a different $$$ controller for the 'fancier' stuff...which also varies with altitude hold.
I can live with a 6 foot variance. Would give you the ability to focus on setting up a shot or high FPV hover for scouting out things on the screen without so much pilot attention to maintaining it manually.

I think I just have to get use to flying this thing anyways. LOL once I get better can judge better but fairly happy with the new board. Just screwing around today.

Were you bouncing it off the ground on purpose, to test the landing gear?

I was thinking more in the line of lower level flying 6-10ft for some nature type stuff. Others up higher of course. Will eventually get the FPV setup though. New to this so I didn't really know what levels the baro would be suited for.

Hey seadog, could you please tell the folks here (some of them got their panties in a wad) that I was busting on you in a friendly way, and not because you're a noob.
