Hobby King ASK21Mi Glider
I see these are in stock in the AUS warehouse. I am thinking of buying one but I was looking for feedback from anyone who had one before I bend the card.
Thanks Dave |

I have the ST Model DG1000 which is allegedly NOT from the same factory, but the up-n-go retractable motor pod seems TOTALLY identical on both. In order to minimise hassles when retracting the motor, I recommend you slow the pod retract servo speed (if your transmitter has this function) or add a Turnigy servo speed adjuster https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8863

Wasn't there a massively long thread here in the aus section about the ASK21 from hobbyking? Might be worth doing a search

I searched the AUS Forum and found nothing, that's why I asked the question. I guess I will do a bit more research before I purchase. The video on the Hobby King site showing the unpacking looked interesting though.

It was the ASK28 which had the huge thread, and you can also search the glider forum for the DG1000. Both of these are foamie gliders of about 2 metre span, and they fly well enough that you will easily get your money's worth. Just make sure you follow the instructions on getting the cg towards the middle of the range (when the motor is retracted) so it wont be too nose-heavy when the motor is up and forward. The DG1000 is a fairly sluggish flyer, which might not be a bad thing, so I would expect this new one to be similar. You can't go wrong for the money though, I would go for it.

Wasn't meaning to suggest you hadn't etc. Tony is right, it was the ASK 28. My mistake, sorry
