Thanks Snoggle, they seem like appropriate ratings and I've inserted them into the list.

In other news, I've gotten a small hand-launch glider - the HobbyKing Canary, otherwise known as the Kyosho Swing. 1100mm span, 290g AUW, preassembled balsa wings and glassed fuse with carbon boom tail.

Once assembled and set up correctly this is a peach of a plane to fly. I would go as far as to say it would make a very good flight trainer for new fliers, with the emphasis on smooth control inputs and following a glidepath. It is also very durable, even surviving a low nose-in (elevator jam {stiff surface + linkage slop} caused stall) without any significant damage.

Keeping this in mind I would give the HobbyKing Canary a solid 4, mainly because you are at the mercy of the wind and can't power yourself out of trouble.

you made a little mistake, the eflite mini pulse is already in the list with a value of 6.25, you should merge my value into the existing value.

and i got another one:

Original E-Flite UMX Beast --> 9

Good third plane, with sim experience or instruction. Most people get this as their third plane and wreck it so I can't say it's a 8.

Maybe the new 3D Beast will be a 8... we'll see in December.

You can probably put the E-Flite UMX Sbach in at --> 9 as well unless someone thinks it may be 9.5 because it is much quicker than the beast as it doesn't have the drag on the airframe and it has a higher kv motor.

Bump! This thread is far too valuable to get buried so deep.

Mods - please, please PLEASE! Sticky this thread, and perhaps un-sticky the old, obsolete one.

Electrifly Rifle - 10. Maybe a 9 but very tricky to launch and landings requires lots of space for bleeding speed off. Very fast and very small.

I'd be curious what ratings might be for the Electrifly Evador or the F-16.

Techone EPP Funflyer, 3ch: 2.5

When balanced, flies much like a larger scale Champ.

Tuffwing: 9.5-10

Fast, twitchy 24" WS flying wing. It needs to go fast or it will fall out of the sky. Combine that with its size and it is a real handful.

Well i haven't seen any plantraco planes on here so i will put in my two cents (literally, it might not be worth that much seeing as i am a beginner)

I have a shoestring racer, 3ch. And this is my first "real" plane apart from an air hogs xtwin or whatever they are called. I am able to fly it with no problems now. I have put about 7 flights on it. I had a small amount of flight sim practice, but not much at all.

So, Plantraco Shoestring Racer: 3.

Yeah, I'd put the Hobbico Albatros at a 3. It's no more difficult than my UM J-3 Cub.

Steven's Aero DH.53 Hummingbird... I'd say 4. It's pretty mellow, but definitely faster than most of the 3's.

Hobbyking Coota (amphibious) - 8

Its stall speed is like 80% of WOT (), and it has a tendency to tipstall quite viciously. It's also made of plain ol' EPS foam, and not EPO, so hard landings are more likely to result in damage.
