True Heroes Stealth Glider Bashing/RC Conversion Thread -- aka "Titan's lil' Bro"!!!

...another star is born!!! Cruisin' through the aisles of my local Toys R Us -- and look what I happened upon!!! The Titan's lil' bro!!!! Another kid's chuck glider ripe for R/C conversion. Picked up 2 - $9.99 each!!! This one is a bit smaller, same great quality foam as the Air Hogs Titan (in grey and the beads are slightly larger). Wings fit snug... this one has no sweep and a little bit of dihedral. I plan to start mine soon.... so let's get the bashing started!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Toys R US is the exclusive retailer for this airframe:

Lol -- of course, a pre cut battery compartment! Hope you guys are able to get them up in Canada -- doesn't make sense if they carry other "True Heroes" products.

Billwhit -- did you have a Titan with a full flying stab? The horiz. stab on this one sits at a pretty high angle and there is a trim "wedge" built into the trailing edge of it. I'm thinking a full flying stab would be the easiest way of getting the angles correct. My question is if it causes a problem when the motor is mounted on the tail as a pusher? Will the full flying stab interfere with the prop's "intake" or cause too much of a disturbance? Just wondering?...

yeah -- no canopy included!

No, I did not do a full flying stab. I kept pushing my Titan "pusher" harder and harder. I had a ton of fun and made it go pretty fast, but the tail never stood up. Every time I can home from flying I had to reglue...I finally retired it and for now I'm just flying the Batplane version with the top mounted motor. Another thing I noticed with the Titan is that it tended to be very sensitive on the elevator at hight throttle with the pusher, I haven't noticed that tendency with the Batplane. I'm not saying I wouldn't do another Titan pusher either, I'd just make sure to reinforce the tail really well.

Of course there's no real saying how similar this one is until I get my hands on one.

Hey guys! I just got back from TRU and they had these so I grabbed a couple to try out. Woot! As said they were in the aisle with all the "True Hero" stuff. I also noticed they they didn't get in the larger Flying Eagle gliders they normally have.

I'm not sure I really like the looks of the H-stab, I may just end up making a new one.
