Hi,

After a crash of my KKCopter one HK gyro died.

I bought a new one but the components inside changed.

So I have now 2 old HK Gyros + one new. They can't be mixed on the same board.

Can I use the 2 onboard gyros for Pitch and Roll and one external (between Rx and board) for the Yaw?

Is it possible? If yes do I leave the slot for the yaw gyro on the board empty and that's it or do I have to solder some tracks?

I have the same problem, The Yaw gyro sub assembly was damaged , any idea of recovery?

I have used a kk board with no hk401 yaw module and flew fine but it was troublesome to setup. Removed yaw module completely and flashed board with xx11a software that had the no_yaw_gyro defined and recompiled. Then placed a GY250 gyro between the rx rudder out and kk board input. Set the endpoints up on the gyro so there was enough rudder "travel" that the board would arm and disarm. Control felt slightly different but flew ok. The first person I know of to try the external gyro and get it to work was member "alll" and I simply followed what he did.

maybe you can consider replacing to a new board and possible the price still cheaper than Hacking the Gyro from HK401.
