Good news, bad news.

Bad news first: The linkage to one aileron was binding and I had to remove the wing to repair it.

The good news: Because I had made the wing / nacelle a bolt on assembly it was a piece of cake to repair.

Oh, yeah. I no longer need a reminder to ca the control horns

I scrubbed a little paint on her just to get an idea of how she'll look completed

I also made what I believe to be a better canopy mold and formed a new canopy.

Here's the scheme I settled on. Found an image online of a decal sheet and made some water slide decals.

I built a 30c 240mah 3S LiPo to fly it. AUW 89g so I hope she'lll go.

That should be a rocket on 3s. Id think with the GP Ammo setup, even 2 would do! Good luck on the maiden for sure!

Thanks guys.

After reading your post Fred, I wonder if 2S may be the way to go on maiden.

Does this fan and motor make that much thrust?

The stock GP Sabre weighs but 63g when new, and puts out 60g - 65g of thrust depending on who has measured it. about 1:1 Thrust to weight. And it flys great. I would assume it could fly a 100g - 110g airframe Ok before you were pushing it. Also I think if you go 3s you need to upgrade the bearings. Not everyone reported failing bearings, but some did. 2s easier on the motor, lighter battey, lighter AUW of airframe.....
