ParkZone P-15 Build
Hello Everyone
So I have decided to put together a P-51 Mustang using a Parkzone Airframe kit. Im going to install the following parts in it, please feel free to comment with warnings or hints: For the Motor: TR 35-42D 1000kv Brushless Outrunner Link: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=3884 Quick question here, what kind of mount adapter do you all think I should use with this motor, also what size prop? For ESC: TURNIGY K-Force 40A Brushless ESC Link: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...p?idProduct=89 For Battery: ZIPPY 2200mAh 3S 11.1V 20C Lipo Battery Deans/EC3/TRAXX Link: http://compare.ebay.com/like/1905187...=263602_309572 For Servos: HexTronik HXT900 HXT 9g Servo Link: http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CD8Q8wIwAA# I am a little worried about getting the engine on as I am not sure what kind of mount i am going to need to build or purchase, feel free to chime in with any hints or help. PS: I forgot to ask if anyone has had any luck with the HobbyZone 6 channel transmitter and receiver. Please let me know if it is complete crap and what else you might recommend for its replacement that is still in the cheap area. Thank You!! |

The motor, ESC, battery, and servos look good.
I use a Spektrum DX6i and a mix of Spektrum and Hobbyking Orange receivers. They haven't failed me yet. For motor mounts, check this out: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1365616 BTW, not to be picky, but it's a P-51. |

Wow, cant believe I did not see the earlier lol thanks for pointing it out Amy chance a mod can change the Title of this thread? Also I had two more questions if anyone can help:
1. When looking through the parts list for PZ P-51d i notice a Motor shaft: 480 Outrunner (PKZ4418) and a Control Horn Set: P-51D BL (PKZ1823). My question is Does anyone know what those are used for? 2. For the Motor Shaft, am I going to have to buy one for my new motor as well, or is this something the motor ships with? |

Motors come with the motorshaft. They sell replacements for those who prang 'em into the ground and bend them. Then, you can replace the shaft in the motor without replacing the entire motor.
As for the control horn set, I don't think you need that with the fuselage kit. Control horns are used to attach servos and servo wire to the control surfaces. They should come with the fuse kit. |
