Joe was a good guy. He use to take some awesome pictures at the events and sometimes during the week. He was able to beat the disease for 2years longer than the doctors gave him. He was a real fighter. He will be truly missed.

I'll be flying.

The next weather window for Felix Baumgartner and Red Bull Stratos opens on Sunday Oct 14 - daily weather updates will follow and lead into the next launch day.

From early morning the team postponed the launch due to strong winds at 700 feet - the balloon's top - waiting for the right weather window to open. The launch was scheduled for 11:40 a.m., the balloon inflation had begun, and then gusty winds picked up and made a launch impossible.

Now That's greatness!
+700 mph from 128K feet.
I watched the whole thing about three hours.
Excitement was really building up to the exit from the capsule.

I was tied to the television too! Simply amazing!

I got up at 0500 hours to watch it. Stuff like this doesn't happen too often.

Hi all,
Well my flight after re-building my Venom F-86 did not go very well. It had major problems with banking sharp to the right. I知 sure that a better pilot would have been able to bring it back in but I知 not that pilot.
Anyway, I have fixed the F86 about 6 times since I bought it. Its more glue now then EPO. So I知 retiring the airframe/glue.
So now I have a 70mm 15 DF Brushless motor, 3600KV, Delta V 15 fan unit, 60 amp ESC, and Tricycle size 10 electric retracts all made by Eflite looking for a new home.
I知 looking for suggestions from others as to what would be the best airframe to put all of this in. Some frames I looked at so far are the EJF Sniper 70mm (out of production and no room for retracts), Habu but I can稚 find anyone that sells just a kit, and an F-5 which seems to be also out of stock everywhere. I知 looking for above average speed but not ludicrous speed.
Since I知 just starting to fly on EDFs I do NOT want to invest allot into this 殿dvanced trainer. But at the same time I do not want to experiment on untested airframes.
Any suggestions?

Found battery

Rob found a 4s battery that I handed to Clark. The balance wires and deans connector were torn off. What's interesting is I discovered the other end of deans connector just outside of box 4. Suspect someone crashed this yesterday???

Rob, habu, the f18 I have, MIG15's that bill and I have, f5's Shannon and I have all fly a little better than the f86, I would say that is my 5th easiest to fly, but really at this point get a 50 mm t45 hawk and practice edf flight with that, it flys really well!!
