What Corona mod would you like to see available?

Hello,

Just wondering what fellow Corona pilots would like to see for additional mods, other than what is now available.

A better battery holder for underneath the heli. the JR-LG is good but My batteries sit only in the front holder as this is were my CG is best. So if there was a mod for some type of battery holder it would be great.

The Corona needs two major upgrades.

1. A full Bell-Hiller collective head and 6mm main shaft that takes standard CF blades.

2. A belt tail drive and new tail rotor with a ratio of about 5:1.

Hey, got a pretty easy fix for you, changing batteries will be even easier too, no need to mess with rubber bands.

run a thin metal strip or something thin and strong to fit on the top of the LG in between the mounting holes from the back strut to about 1.5 inch or so past the front strut, jb scuff areas to be bonded and CA into place. You can scuff and paint it black to blend in or I just used a Permanent magic marker worked great .

Cut off the battery mounts. Put a strip of insulator (the kind you would use to insulate sides of window sills and doors) on to the strip about where your battery would go, I could only find thin ones so I used to side by side, this is to pad the battery and help keep it in place, barely noticeable when battery's mounted since you'd be smashing the battery down to it. Then, get a good quality velcro strips that have the strong sticky back, make a velcro mount up front and one near the back area of the battery. I did this for my Voyager E because I had to to fit the lipo pack and it worked awesome, way better than the stock mount anyway. Battery held in more soid and took about 5 seconds to change the battery. It also looked really nice.

I wish I took pics but unfortunately don't have any close ups...

Why not just a new heli the 120's size with all the bells and whistles?

Adding all the options to the 120 would take away all that it is.

I don't know what it is, there's something about the Corona I like, it flies so well and is so stable for it's size and I think it would still be second to none in durability even as a cp bird...

How about a metal T/R gearbox with a bolt on adapter so we can bolt on the tailfins!

I'm with Fred on this. The 120 is perfect just the way it is as a beginner helicopter.

However it wouldn't hurt to be able to have a Up-Grade kit with all the neccesary parts to convert the 120 to a 3D machine.
