your glass work looks very nice Frank. it's the part I hate the most. not sure why, just do. LOL.

not sure about a paint scheme on mine yet. all I know is it's gonna be extremely "BLING". LOL.

Frank ....
you have forgotten one very critical thing. unless you plan to fly inverted all the time.
Carbon fiber are for tear forceses.. mainly. glasfiber rovings are really better for compression forceses.

Wow great work guys! That is one sexy design!

I might have to join in and build one myself Not sure if I can handle "Not having one" LOL.

Are there templates in pdf? 70mm? 90mm?

Man im having problems sqeezing it in her.

this 40amp pentium is thicker then my fusalage walls

My shroud is a little warped.
I didnt get that from don. It was one left over from another build i never used.

The esc is going to stick into the ducts or hang out the bottom abit.

Yea im definitely going to wait it out and let you guys sort out allll the snags for me :P

I think the one i'll do will be a 90mm jetfan. Not sure how i'd manage to fit retracts in though. The wing is so thin! May have to thicken the fuse at the base slightly to accommodate, guess we'll all cross these bridges when we come to them

You could fit retracts in the fillets, retracting forwards, or even outwards.

Claus you are spot on.. I'm guessing that I try to get to much done at once.

Shane you can find the templates for a 70mm in a earlier post.

RC yes you will be needing to make some small chances if you will fit in retracts.

I haven't even begone to think about the paint job, still a lot to do before it is to be painted.

the ESC will be ok there. on a 70mm, you can locate the ESC directly behind the motor. you lose a tiny bit of thrust, but hardly noticable. plus, it runs really cool in all that breeze back there.

I thought about hanging it out there. But with this being and outrunner, and the fact, its adding wieght using an xtra 6in of 14 guage wire.

I may try to incorperate a scoop for the esc cover.

I may get out the thermal paste/zip tie, and add a heatsink into the ducting for the esc.

I bit concerned about the above numbers. i know they are going to increase when in the complete duct.

DonsRc has these rated @ 40amp and only 430 watts.

I must brag. I did a bang up job on the ballencing. Silky smooth and quite thru-out my whole throttle range.
