Dihedral Question

I know this thread has been dead for some time, but I just downloaded the plans.
Does anybody know what the approximate dihedral angle is for the wing?

Puddle Shark Maiden Voyage!

I built mine from MPF and made the maiden flight this weekend early in the AM to avoid winds. With the exception of too much "up" on the motor, it flew well. I have since changed the motor mount and need to fly again to check the adjustment. I didn't glue on the nose foam until I get the motor mount where I want it. Just taped it on.

I used a Hacker A10-9L and a 8x4.3 prop with a 2S370 Lipo. AUW is 7.2 ozs.

Made a video with my GoPro Session.

New Puddle Shark build

I built my Puddle Shark from Dollar Tree foam board with the paper removed. It took about 3 hours while watching Sunday Night Football. Total weight including the 650mah 2S battery is 198 grams. I added a rib to each wing...probably not needed. This is a really great design and I can't wait to fly it. Unfortunately, its cold, rainy, and windy here today. I will post a maiden flight video.

12 A esc
7x4 prop
3.7g servos
650mah battery

After watching your video, Joe, I just had to build one. Looks like a fun little airplane. Thanks.

Thanks. I just did a google search for the graphics I wanted and printed them out on my printer. Glued them on with 3M 77 spray adhesive.

Puddle Shark Maiden Flight

Despite a little wind I finally got to do the maiden flight of my Puddle Shark. It's a really fun little slow flyer. Doesn't handle wind too well due to it being very light. All in all, definitely worth building.

Foam thicknesses

Good morning all...
I'm not sure if this thread is still alive, but I'll give it a try...
I don't see anywhere what thickness foam should be used for all the individual parts. Am I missing something, or should I go by what Ken has written on his PuddleBug plans (attached earlier in this thread)?
Thank you for your time.

Ed,
These foamies are quite flexible on the material thickness. Scaling up and down relative to thickness can be helpful for fits, but it's pretty simple to adjust as you go. Have fun!

Ken
