Carefully twist the tips of the wires and CA them to prevent fraying.

I going to use two nano's in a 50cc extra. Does one of them need to be master and the other slave? Or do you just bind them both the same?
May 01, 2011, 01:10 PM
One is master and one is slave, that is how you bind them at the same time.

I'm still flying with the "damaged" Nano I posted above. I have not done anything to the RX at all excpt tape it into the plane.

I love these things!

Well I just finished off my first 150cc gas plane, and I am using 2 nano RX for the receiver in the plane. I soldered 16 gauge wire to the back side of the RX pins for the the positive and negative battery connection, I should have used 18 gauge, but I had 16 gauge on hand. I do not have RX switches, so it takes me a little time to unplug the power after a flight as I have to remove the canopy.
So about the smallest thing in this model are the RXs

Make sure you range check head on with the plane. The receivers should not be on center line, they should be above the center, typically in the turtle deck or in the canopy area.

On the 50%'er we have here, we mounted one to each side of the pilot's head, in his headphones.

Hi Jim,
I am really getting confused here. The above quote suggests that to improve reception (avoiding blanking), two rx are better than one when mounted in separated locations. To my recollection only a satellite setup fullfills this, not two rx in master/slave configuration
