Will a dual IPS-A 4.8V work with an Etec 1200 2S1P?

I went to my hobby shop to get a replacement dual IPS-A and I just realized that they gave me a 4.8V model. Damn.

Will this 4.8V motor work in my Tiger Moth that has a 2S1P Etec 1200 battery or do I need to go all the way back to the shop to get a 7.2v IPS motor? I told him it was going into a Moth.

I didn't even know that there was a 4.8v version...

you could rewire the motors in series or use a small prop.

What would I need to do to rewire them?

Bascialy if I plug this right into my exisiting setup the motor is going to burn out, right?

It will live a short life wired in parallell, unless you use a much smaller than recomended prop. To wire it in a series, connect one of the postive wires to one of the negative wires and connect the two remaining wires to the esc.
