If you look at airplanes retracting their gear, many times one goes up before the other..

I'll fly anything...

I have used a basic single servo with pushrods. I use rubberbands (to be replaced with springs tonight) to assist the u/c in coming up. While it worked without the assistance on the bench, the prop blast stopped it fully retracting (unless I dropped to 6" in ground effect).
I'll take a photo of it tonight but this was the 3rd test-flight of my new diy Octo alst night.

The simplest, the better!

Hi
here is my landing gear solution.
The goal was to have something light, simple and out of the centre plate so not to mess with gimbal and payloads.
The legs lock in upper position and when extracted, are simply held by tight friction in the ABS pivoting rod
Tested for many flights, they work very well.
All parts CNC cutted from Lexan

Hi jhsa
I didn't talk about retracts!
They could fall in the "foldable" category... nice for travelling or simply transporting you multi without obstrusive landing gear...

Here is a pic of my tri. It uses foam insulation tubes for landing gear and general aircraft floatation. The landing gears are shock mounted to the arms with rubber bands.

Ha, I just found this thread and was going to post my video

Here is my video of my home-made boiled pvc multicopter gear.
Mine are really big for training purposes, but I guess you could makes smaller ones. They have survived numerous rough landings, inculding a few power off "landings" from 5ft, and one big fall from 15ft after one of my motors fell off

DIY Multicopter ( Tri, Quad, ect.) Training Gear (3 min 19 sec)
