Review of Mods

Hey Everyone!

Just to review my mods for my 9104. All are on this forum, but maybe incomplete. So, here they are in the current form. I can barely call it a 9104 any more.

TX/RX - CT6B and RG6. Programming is not that hard and anyone who wants the program I use, just let me know.
3n1 Mixer (gyro, mixer, ESC) Esky (EK2-0701) (Xheli $25)7.4V from Honey Bee. You have to adjust the gyro sensitivity on the mixer with a small screw driver to stop tail wag. You can adjust main motor to tail rotor mixing, also.
Swashplate - 9104 reversed along with top main shaft carrier and anti-spin.
Servos - (2) in the rear in original holes for aileron (left and right movement)
(1) in the front for elevator (forward and rear) movement (cut out one of the holes in the frame, at the main shaft, to accommodate servo.
You need to order the control links for a 9116 just for the correct size ball links for all three servos. I actually put dual ball links on mine (servo and swashplate). Overkill? Yes, but what the heck. If you have a hobby shop near, you can get control links for a blade, which work on the 9104 ball links. It adds some flexibility.
Tail rotor - I am currently using the original, but have used a direct drive with good success and great tail control. Once this original burns out, I have a new direct drive motor waiting. I am getting the parts in to build a direct drive/variable pitch for my 450 and if it works, I will adapt or build a new one for the 9104, which will make it a 6 ch/Fixed Pitch heli. A waist I know, but what the heck.

These mods make it a very reactive FP heli. I will try to post a few new video when I can. Here is the link for 3 servo video.

3 in 1 also converts 7.4v battery to +5v for receiver, uses servo cables to supply +5v to receiver.

Ken how to put those together ? I order all parts to make 4 channel with 3 servos

Honey bee 3 in1 mixer
2.4G CT6B 6-Channel
JST connetors
2 more servos
so i need to know now how to put them together can you finish that scheme on Paint program this is default windows program

The picture you have of the 3n1 is NOT the correct one. That is a 11.1V 00863. I would not use it if you don't want to change batteries. Use the Ek2-0701 7.4V Honey Bee original. The first drawing you had is correct. The battery plug on the receiver is for binding. You get a small binding plug with your TX/RX package.

Channel 1 = Aileron servo (Roll right and left)
Channel 2 = Elevator servo (Tilt forward and backward)
Channel 3 = Throttle (Main motor speed using Electronic Speed Control ESC)
Channel 4 = Rudder (Tail motor speed using Electronic Speed Control ESC)
Channel 5 Gyro gain typical
Channel 6 Pitch typical on collective pitch helicopter

Channels 3 and 4 go to 3 in 1 for convert to a motor speed control to drive main motor and tail motor

Channels 5 and 6 unused or used for other controls

The CT6B is set for ch 6 for left aileron. It is mixed with ch 1 for movement in the opposite direction so you have no struggle between left and right servos. When one goes up, the other goes down. Pitch is controlled by throttle and your pitch rate is programmed per throttle movement. The Ek2-0701 can't be mapped for gyro gain control. You have to do it manually. The rudder adjustment is mapped via knob A and mixed into channel 4. You adjust to get proper heading on the rudder and then the gyro and speed mixer can do their thing.

Not to confuse too much, for 4 channel conversion.

DH9104 has no rudder "Servo 4" - - rudder goes to 3 in 1 where gyro is located and ESC for tail motor

DH9104 has no pitch "Servo 3" or pitch control

Channel 6 goes to servo 2 for other aileron servo.

Battery port not used.

Channel 5 unused

That is one of Ken's DH9104 four channel configurations,

yes. That is correct. The connection wires on the Ek2-0701 have stickers which tell you where they go.
