Starting to feel

ok Morning Guys....after reading those last few posts i'm starting to feel it may just be really best to buy the 9116 Tx and Board and swash and buckles and a battery and work with that until later in the year close to summer when i can just buy a Trex kit and the 6ch Tx/Rx combo and other parts and build me a Cp heli..............i just lost motivation..........

Esky EK2-0701! 7.4v 3n1 gyro/mixer/controller:

This has had 370 motor so it will have a similar power curve as the 9104. It is an older 3n1, but should work.

You already have the 7.4v battery/charger.

Add up cost for 9116 TX, RX, Servo and compare to simply buying a DH9116 and either fly (buy another RX/Servo later) or gut for parts.

Gut for parts: Usable: TX, RX, 2x Servo, smaller 7.4v battery (650mah ?)

yeah Ribble as i posted somewhere earlier they both come up to the same.........but honestly i really don't want another DH i said after this its a Trex kit buildup..........

I'm actually awaiting confirmation from you guys who are already in conversion process as to the final listing of 6ch/4ch parts to get and models so i can compile a final list of what it would cost to go down that road as alternate route....

Half the fun is the engineering and modification. Plus the 9104 is a bigger frame heli. I just put the order for the Esky Ek2-0701 3n1 unit which is 7.4v. If I want to build a little more powerful heli, I can switch to the 2496 3n1 and then upgrade to a brushless or more powerful 380 motor. I imagine I will just fly it with the parts I have for a while and then move to a CP heli later.

Getting close. 7.4 800mah battery (a bit low on amperage)
Can't yet tell what exactly is the 4 in 1 controller

It looks like a rebranded esky controller. I see it is using a 120 degree swashplate. It has a 180 motor, so it might not be able to handle the power of the 370. I do like the all metal swashplate and head assembly! I am sure they do quite a bit of mixing at the controller for movement. Probably similar to what the 9116 does except the servos and arms are in front.

this is a 11.1V system. It is possible they have a dual mode and can operate on 7.4V, but not sure. I looked at these and since Esky uses the same modulation as the CT6B, it should (again that word) bind. That is a good price if it would work. I have the EK2-0701 3n1 on order, so I know it will work with what I am building. As soon as all the parts come in, hopefully end of week or early next week, I will test and let all know who are interested. I just have many 7.4V LIPOs so that is why I ordered the 701. If the 2496 does not work, I will keep it around in case I want to build another. Got the CT6B in today with RX. Download DigitalRadio and it is a nice little program. The Demo is nice, so I will pay $2 for the registered version. You can do quite a bit inside of it.

On, ordered a Honey Bee 3 swashplate (90 degree) to see what the ball size is. It looks kind of small, but won't know till it gets here. It was only $2.50 from xheli. We will see.

Got these parts setting here and can't do much with them!!!!

Here are some photos of the 9116 swashplate. Wasn't sure how to attach to a pm so have put them on here. Hope its useful.

I definitely like the top of the plate better than the 9104. It has the bevel which allows for a little more movement. I have quite a bit now, but still might order one and then modify it for my use. As soon as the 3n1 comes in and tested, I will show the mods. Thanks!

Still has 180 motor. Hmmmm. Same swashplate setup as the 9116, but the TX must be already pre-programed for all mixing of the servos. You would probably need digitalradio to reprogram. speaking of this, I paid the $2 for the Digital Radio program and it is easy and nice. It includes functions for mixing of servos for the desired affect per movement. With my 90 degree, I should not have to mix much, if at all. But, I will cross that bridge when I come to it. I still have to get my 3n1 units in! Can't test the current servo setup as I have not power supply for the RX. It is a max of 6V.
Since the CT6B does mixing, I see no reason, except for frustration, not to modify and use 9116 swashplate, extra servo, and control links, with the Flysky TX/RX package. The probable frustration would be mixing. I still want someone to use a 9116 PCB on a 9104 with the 370 motor. This way, we can find out if the PCB can handle the motor. Hmmmm.
