Parallel Charging Boards
I'm new to this Lipo thing and have started with 2 sets of 3 Lipo packs that have a P designation, as in: 1300mAh 2S1P 20C 7.4v and 1800mAh 3S1P 20C 11.1v.
My understanding is that within a pack with this designation 2 or more of the cells are connected in parallel.
Is this a pack that should NOT be charged on a parallel charging board; or, is it no different, other than the same cautions?
PS I have an Accucel-6 charger from Turnigy, I might buy a second, but, this sounds like a cheaper option... for now
2S 1P equals 2 cells in series the 1P means 1 set ofcells in parallel which is what makes it confusing.
3S 1P equals 3 cells in series and the 1P same as above.
Years ago there wer no large capacitry LiPoly cells. Inorder to have a 3S (nonimal 11.1V ) 3000 mAh LiPoly required 9 cells of 3.7V and 1000 mAh each Such a 9cells 3000 mAh LiPolys would be listed as a 3S3P 11.1V 3000 mAh.
Cells in series increase volts , cells in parallel increase capacity (mAh).

Parallel charging boards and harnesses are for charging more than one LiPoly of the same voltage (number of cells in series) at a time such as 2 to 6 3S 11.1V ones. They can be the same capacity or different capacities but must be close to the same state of charge (voltage) before connecting them in parallel.
