Did this thread die? I haven't had any chances to fly mine in the past few weeks. I'm hoping for some time possibly this next weekend.

I'm selling mine or at least trying too! If is doesn't sell then it will be wall art until I get the funds to maybe convert it over to electric.

No! Decided to go with a different airframe that I plan on using possibly for IMAC.

I have a OS GT-33 mounted on my slick. This is my first gas engine and the manual calls for a 18x8 prop for break-in. I have had some people in the club tell me that I should break it in with the prop I will be flying after break-in. I am looking for some opinions and experienced answers on this.

Thanks

I would go ahead and put a protek R?C 19x8 prop on there and enjoy the heck out of it.

closest thing ever to electric motor response from a gas engine there is.

its an electric prop but since you dont have to drill the hub for the OS it works great.... oh yeah no prop bushing required either.

dont forget a fast throttle servo so you can take advantage of the super throttle response.

anyone got one with a DLE 35R... I would like to see the pictures of your install. It seems to me on my airplane, the bottom stand offs will be over to one side too far.

Here are some pics of my RIP slick. The major difference is that my NB has been cut down some to accommodate the rear carb motors so I don't have the little flange that sticks out on the front. If it was me Id just cut into it and use fiberglass to strengthen/fuel proof the front of the MB and firewall. Mine has been invincible... even after the plane lost its wings at 200 plus feet and piled in hard the firewall and MB are still basically in one piece.

Hi Shane,
I'll be installing a DLE-35RA in my Slick and I'll try to get some pictures and post them here on my setup. I flipped one of the standoffs around (the one that is too far over) and it almost fit. Then, I sanded a bit of material off of the standoff and it fits fine.

I'm interested to see those pics as well... I want to see how much different it looks on a 71. Mine was the original 70" FB scheme.

I'm in the same boat. How do I get this DLE 35RA on the firewall?
