It does look fine. I would just charge the pack at around 200ma and see how much it takes.

I put the battery pack back on the charger @ .2A rate. It accepted just over 200mah after 65 mins or so according to the charger.

Something isn't adding up.

Do I just go with it?

I thought about doing a discharge/charge cycle just to see what goes back in. What's an acceptable discharge rate on the charger?

Not sure what to do. Not feeling to confident in my home made
Pack.

Until you post the voltage its hard to tell whats up.

But 200 into the pack in 1 hour @ .2A charge sounds just fine.

If I check each battery individually. I show like 1.3xx volts which I believe is right. If I check the lead coming from the complete pack, I get 5.28

Just not getting why newly made pack would go dead in an hour and then only take 200 on charge.

Chicken dinner. All is well. Those voltages sound ok.

If one cell was way different that would indicate you cooked it in the soldering process. Also, did you sand the battery where you soldered it? If no, sand it ever so slightly so that the solder joint has a better grip. You dont want a solder joint to fail on something that has wings.

Well, here she is. I threw it in the rain till my Tx was sufficiently wet.... Still not understanding the battery issues, but... I'll keep charging and flying till she quits I guess.

Thanks for everyone's help and input.

She looks great! Just keep charging it and posting what is happening, but I suspect everything is just fine.

One more tip that is not in the build images: use colored tape over the extreme tape wherever it is exposed to protect from UV exposure. This prevents the extreme tape from yellowing and drying out over time.

Will a Hitec Superslim Rx fit in the Alula. If not, suggestions for a suitable 72mhz Rx. And what to do with the long antenna?

Just cut the antenna off. That will give you and excuse to get a 2.4 system.
